My cars just about to hit 2000 miles and theres a slight squeak coming from somewhere in the engine, the only thing ive been under the bonnet for it to put in windscreen wash and change the air filter which ended up not being changed, i have double checked the air box is sealed properly and is tight and i also went into the boot and made sure the box for the jack wasnt moving, its not that loud and only occurs on some roads when im doing under 30mph, is it just the something like the suspension bedding in and im being paranoid, or should i get a dealer to have a look ?

sounds like something needs a lube

could be suspension or an engine mount or exhaust maybe

check all the belts could just be wet or slightly loose and causing belt to squeek dont be alarmed but the squeek on my cupra happend every now and again and it was a water pump had gone the plastic impelors are crap and cant handle the job so was uprated to metal impellors cambelt changed and tensioner and new pulley! but as your car has only done 2000k id be very suprised!!!! could be engine mounts they can squeek. or the top of the engine struts can sometimes squeek sometimes to locate the noise to an area and il give you some options :)

i think its the suspension, ive basically been driving through mini lochs (lakes to you english folk) with the floods on the roads so i think maybe the rubbers wetter than usual hence the squeak..... if its still there in a few weeks ill go to the dealer, its not really noticeable and sometimes is more like a rattle so dont think it will be the belt
