Any ideas to soften up steering wheel

Hi!
I’m getting my new car in a few days but my initial feeling when touching the ”leather wrapped” steering wheel was that it felt like plastic. My question is if anyone has an idea of how to perhaps soften it up a bit?
Will leather balm make any difference?

Use nivea in a cloth small amount because of the holes in the leather, its what I use and it will make the skin smoother

It does not slip, put a little on the skin of the handbrake to see if you like it.

It does not shines it was because of the lamp. The idea its to stay with a normal aspect but the leather must be soft and smooth.

Can't say I've ever had a problem with the stearing wheel. No different to any other car I've driven. Personally I think it feels fine.
