Just wondering how many people find there LC uncomfortable to drive. I find that that my right leg always aches, as if it is going to sleep. I also find that on longer journeys my back begings to hurt. I am constantly trying to find the best position but nether can.

I find that the pedals are postioned badly, especially with the accelerater at a different height to the other pedals. I also find that the backwards and forwards adjustment isn't fine enough.

My car is now 3 years old runs out of warranty soon. I now have the dilema of keeping this car and chipping etc or get something different. I am more inclined to get something different based on the fact that i can't get comfortable. What i 'll choose is another problem!!

Personally, to drive I find the LC the most comfortable car I've ever owned. The seats are firm, supportive and have lots of adjustment. I do know what you mean about your right leg on long journeys. I'd prefer to be able to rest my knee against the door or something so in that respect it would be nicer if it were more cramped!
Also in previous cars I could rest my right elbow on the sculpted part of the door but I can't in the Leon.

Having the accelerator at the same height as the brake would be far more uncomfortable IMHO. The higher gas pedal position would lead to too much stress in your ankle and leg muscles - holding it at a higher position. Plus it would make heel-and-toe changes impossible :)

The above is all my opinion. Comfort is a totally personal thing after all.

I am 6'5" tall and struggle to find any cars comfortable. I tried the focus RS and couldn't get in a good position. The Civic Type R was a good driving position and failry comfy, but i find my LCR really comfy to drive. I know you are talking LC's, but maybe think about the LCR if you could do?

I think that the LC is the comfiest car that I have owned as well... Long journeys, I make use of the arm rest and the door to rest my arms and cruise control so I can move my feet around...

The seats I find comfy as well - and I don't have the best back in the world..

I find my LCR difficult to find a comfy driving position.

The pedals seem to be at different heights and have diffent lengths of travel. This means I always end up too far away to fully depress the clutch or I'm right on top of all the pedals. I just put it down to me being a short arse and try and find a happy medium.

took me a fair bit to find an comfy setup
i found the leon i tried out in the showroom a doddle - i sat down and felt immediatley comfortable

god help anyone who gets in and moves the seat ...

I find it pretty easy to find a decent driving position, with the steering wheel adjustments being very useful. However I think the seats could do with a bit more lumbar support which causes me to get a bit uncomfortable on long journeys.

Ah, the beauty of electric memory seats.
I find the Leon seats very comfy, even on long journeys. And with cruise control those motorway drives are no problem.

i've got the electric leather seats, and i think they have too much adjustability. Between them and the rake and reach of the steering wheel i never keep the same adjustment for more than a week.

I wouldn't say it's uncomfortable but the leather seats are a little firm on long journeys.

the only thing i really don't like is the ridiculous amount of travel on the clutch pedal. I'm 6'4 with 35" inside leg and i find in the Leon that i have to have my seat further forward than in any other car i've ever owned which means my right leg is bent more than i would like, but it's not uncomfortable just less comfortable than it could be.

My old Civic 1.8VTI had the best driving position of any car i've ever driven, much comfier than the Mondeo pool cars we have at work or my brothers BMW 3 series which are supposed to be designed to comfortably eat the motorway miles.

I'm fairly tall @ 6'4 and always seem to get backache with my car even with electric leather seats also can't seem to find a good comfy position and I can't adjust the seat correctly to get my head near the headrest also.

I used to have a Golf GTI MKIV GTI (1.8T) and the std seats in that were great

the only time i have probs is when i am driving other cars/vans in the week and use the leon at weekends
takes a bit of time for my back to get used to it
will find out sat as we are going up to the nec for the autosport show

I think i agree with most of your comments, comfort is a personal thing and for some people the LC and the LCR will fit like a glove.

I am 6ft and find that the seats adjustaibalty forwards and backwards moves in to bigger increments, thus i am either to far away or to close. I also finsd that the difference in pedal height is larger than it needs to be. I find that i can get a comfy position for the brake and clutch but the not the gas pedal and vice versa.

It could be that i just haven't got the seat postion right but after 2 years i am begining to give up. I think there could be to much adjustabiltiy.

Is it me or does the height adjustment seem to move you forwards as you go up and back as you go down. Almost like it is moving on a diagonal rather than vertical plane.

Thats right the height does move more diagonal than vertical

As far as comfort its not a bad car but i seem to sit too close for my arms and too far for my legs, but im used to it now

Does anyone know if anything can be done to make the LC (MY03) more comfortable?? Can the paedals be adjusted or modified/changed?? Would ally pedals correct from a LCR/TT etc change the height difference??

Haas any one changed their seats or the runners??

At the moment in terms of a new car i am thinking of a Fiesta ST, Focus ST or RS. Think i may try something different to a VAG car.

i know what ya mean about your leg going to sleep , but dosen't that happen on most journeys?

i think the footroom in my lcr is good i used to have a saxo and belive me that is crap pedal positioning!
