Any one with VAG-COM in North West?

Hi,

I bought my girlfriend a new car, well T reg 1.4 S Ibiza and i have been doing all the usual stuff you would do when you get a new car. I cleaned the throttle body tonight and and mounted it back on and turned the key, the idle became erratic and started to bounce between 2000 to 3000 revs!!! I need to get some codes read and possibly cleared, if any one can help me that would be great.

I live in Manchester and my girlfriend lives in Wirral if that helps??

Would you be prepared to set up my Leon? I'm no stranger to VCDS/VAGCOM, but only have a microCAN lead that I use on my Octavia. I believe the Leon needs a HEXCAN.

Just basic settings such as drive away locks, Scandanavian day running lights and altering the single door opening on the central locking I want looking at.

is your leon old shape or new shape ie 2002 or 2007 shape i thought mk1 was OBD2 PORT

I can setup mk1 Leons don't think my lead supports mk2 though

Thanks for the reply guys, i did buy the lead and software off Fleebay but it doesnt work on Windows 7. So decided to take it to Lodge Garage in Gorton and he tried it on his Snap On machine and it didnt cure the problem.

The main issue was a rubber seal which sits on the inlet manifold had fallen off and thats what it was causing the problem.

Thanks for the replies, I forgot that a friend with a mark 1 Skoda Octavia has a lead, and we met up and sorted things out a couple of days ago

Sorted out the drive away locks, single blip opening central locking and the seat belt warning light, but couldn't do the day running lights. For some reason, we could not get into address 19 Central Electronics, just kept trying to open the controller and then failing. No idea why we were locked out of this!

Couldn't do the DRLs with programming, but have done by hard wiring with relays. Will post a separate thread on exactly what I've done on the Leon 1 forum.
