Any way to read error codes without vag com? Urgent :(

Hi all

Is there anyway to read the error codes on the ecu without vagcom? Can it be done throughout the climate display? Got the engine management light on, car drives fine, boosts fine And idles fine. Nothing is unplugged. Been driven for a while.

Guy is coming to buy it tomorrow night. Big panic!!

You can look at climate control faults through the climate control, but engine faults need vagcom...

Problem solved nothing serious, had on the diag machine this morning and it was a sensor pickup fault we assume down to damp and the car not being driven properly for a while.

Code cleared, left on diag machine no futher code. Just driven the 12 miles to work and its still fine.

Panic over!
