Had a very healthy run up the M1, M18, A1, M1 then back to the A1 last night - foggy, windy, utterly wet - averaged 41mpg and still got from MK to Northallerton in under 3 hours 
Poor little Corsa SXI ( idiot had been tailgating me for the length of the roadworks) felt almost sorry for the poor lamb as I left the Dishforth roadworks, he just got further and further away in my rear view mirror
I'd forgotten just how relaxing the Leon is to drive on a long run - especially when i didn't change gear more than 10 times for the entire journey!
I wish the roads were this quiet ALL year around!

Put 75 miles on the clock today driving about with some bird I sort of know.
Turned out to be quite a good laugh, actually.
Spent the morning and afternoon with family, gave her a tinkle and did a wide-lap of my surrounding B-roads and A-roads.
Made me want to keep hold of my LC and just tune it up.

Hello All,
Had a thrash with a modified focus RS yesterday. He had a big bore exhaust and sparco mud flaps from what i could see, not sure on those mud flaps though Sounded nice.
My car is a 210 LCR remapped with air filter and that's it. He could not over take me and we were even up to the speed limit. I was quite impressed as i would guess mine would be the heavier car and his was probably running about 240-250bhp with full through exhaust and a.filter from what i could hear.
Was thinking of getting a RS before i bought my LCR but glad i didn't. My next purchase with some guidance from Junior senior will be a piper system for now and then the 3" d.pipe and high flow cat mid next year.
I will be looking for that RS again to so he can eat my dust

Tried to...ran out of petrol and spent half an hour standing in the pissing rain in a layby waiting for my dad to turn up with the jerry can. My bad.
Ive been out blasting, no one about it was great.then fuel light beeps on grrrr,Then went to find some petrol but no where i went to home had any juice in.limped home now cant go out till i know there is some in the pumps
Went for a blast round as i've only had the car 3 days, so wanted to see what it could do. really enjoyed myself until the engine management light came on. Car seems fine, but now gonna have to either get it to SEAT or try and find someone with VAGCOM in my area, see whats up with it.

vagcom has more features but you can get a basic fault code reader off ebay for about £30
Yeah ive seen them but wasn't sure what they were like, might just get one to see if i can find out what the problem is. I'll have a look, but does anyone have a link to one they've got/used?

yeah i went for a humdinger of a thrash around a load of back roads between preston and wigan. As its Christmas, the roads were a bit damp and its in for a service tomorrow (new year god-dammit) i had the boost off for some unbridled standard 210 action. Still grinning now from it!!
Just waiting for the spring to come now so i can get on tarting my engine up!!
