More interesting write ups/comments, what do people think of an Edition 30? I know they are older than the LCR but handling is surely better in three door form and no drive train loss like the S3, theres one close to me on an 08 plate with ony 16k on the clock for just under 13k?
Surely they need to be considered too? also available in DSG which i'm kind of tempted by.
Grrr all these decisions! who'd be into cars eh?

Very nice cars. I think ED30 is a better looker than the S3 but still not as nice as the LCR. They hold their price well. 16k on an 08 plate for under £13k seems a good price, but it's 6 year old.

I paid as near as dammit the same price for my near stage 2+ 2010 Leon for what that ed30 is goin for. At that price for the golf I'd expect the same level of mods.

The Scirocco R would be my first choice over an Audi S3. As mentioned, the S3 is too boring and a little bit pretentious in my opinion. Plus they're way more common than the Cupra and Cupra R from my experience at least. My friend has a 58 plate S3, and doesn't have half the equipment my little 2009 Cupra has and I'm willing to be money that he paid more than double what I did for his second hand motor.

Its definitely better looking!

Fair enough, it has only done 2666 miles a year give or take though so it will obvioulsy command a high premium? Being limited edition and a VW resale will be higher than the LCR.

A DSG Scirocco R would also be my first choice however they are 18k minimum and thats for one with moon miles and probably without leather and other comforts. Well over 20k for a half decent one so as much as i'd love one they aren't really an option unfortunately :(

There's a really nice stage 2+ Cupra for sale in the classifieds just now. Very well priced as to.

Yeah saw that one mate, looks lovely, wouldn't travel to Ireland though and I need to wait till around June as I get back from the Nurburgring late May.
Just wanted peoples 2 pence and if anyone had owned 2.0TFSI FWD and 4WD cars. Edition 30 in grey or white would be nice or LCR in blue. It really depends what's for sale when i'm looking to buy but i'll be in no rush which is always a plus!

AndrewJB is selling his LCR for less than that ED30 and its only 4 years old

That would be a better shout IMO

13k for a 6 year old car is quite a lot, when its basically the same as a cupra lol

EDIT and Andrews cupra is stage 2+

It's a bit more than the ed30 but it pretty much has ever mod possible lol

It's a very nice car, 13k is a lot but like I said with that kind of mileage and a limited VW it will be worth a lot more so it's too be expected.

And a really nice, very well looked after yellow LCR stage 2+ in the classifieds and at very good price.

Yeah i've seen that one too, shame i'm not quite looking yet.
