Anyone help

My car has just started to idle really rough and the engine management light has just come on, I just wondered if anyone can help or if this has happens to anyone else
I have an Ibiza cupra 1.4 tsi
I don't know if this has anything to do with it (I dom t think it will), I recently took out my centre silencer and replaced it with a straight pipe

you need to get the fault code(s) read

anything else is just guess work.

I have a 1.4 cupra and I had a rough idle like 6 months ago and lights would pop on whenever I put my foot down a bit. Was due to the coil packs. Had one replaced (not expensive at all) and it runs just fine now.

Don't know if this will help but it's just my experience

Its still under warrantee, so im going to take it to seat but I'm not sure if it will be void because I took the silencer out. Hopefully it will just be the exhaust that isn't under warrantee and not the whole car

Let me know how you get on. I also want to take the silencer out but I'm worried as to what it will do to my warrantee.

That's usually misfires. Could be as simple as plugs or as bad as pistons.

So yeah it turns out my engine blew up
Seat fitted me a new engine which was such hassle, ( long story short they wanted to charge me stupid amount of money when it was under warranty and I've only done around 6k on it, so we had to get trade and standards involved and then it got sorted) also wouldn't give me a car whilst mine was having work done
