Hey guys,

I will be attempting to remove the front bumper very soon, Just wanted to know is it just a matter of removing the screws in the wheel arches and underneath the bumper with a "Torx piece screwdriver" (Not sure what size torx piece is required so i might have to buy a set from halfrauds)

Note: BTCC Bodykit installed (Not sure if this makes a difference?)
Going to be my first time taking the bumper off to install new headlights, Any help is appreciated!

Thanks

Would be the same for all bumpers tbh mate, yeah, arch liner off, under tray removed and all the screws underneath taken off. It is a lot so just remember where they came off and there should also be some sylindrical type plastic bits about 1cm long, you will see them, and if you have headlight washers you need to drain the wash fluid when you disconnect the pipe for the washers in the bumper. Also remember to disconnect the fog light wires. It was a hell of a job when I did mine to fit the twintercooler and putting it back together was also a bit of a mission, I managed just fine though.

Sounds like alot of work, although do i need to drain the washers and disconnect fog light bulbs if i am only dropping the bumper down to the floor?(Close to car)

It is just so that i can undo the headlight screws located at the bottom of the headlight.
If i can avoid drainning the washing fluid for headlight washers i think it would be much easier!

Let me know
Thanks

Unless you can find a way to support the bumper without having to do that then you should be good but I had to use axle stands when I did the job which elevatedd the car too far off the ground to leave the pipe connected to the reservoir.

I thought you only had normal halogen lights? You won't have headlight washers will you..?

T25 torx bit I think and a T27 for a couple of the screws at the back of the undertray.

You don't need to remove the arch lining, there's about 4 torx screws at the front of each arch, remove them, then the 4 at the top under the bonnet, then the ones underneath. It's an easy enough job just remember what screws are from where.

I would drain the washers and disconnect the fogs before removing it, as you usual have to give it a bit of yank to get off

Thanks guys, i managed to get to get the bumper off without disconnecting the headlight washers of the fogs as i could undo the headlight screw without it being to far apart from the bumper!

Thanks alot guys =]

hey guys. taking my btcc bumper off and came across 2 screws that seem to be surrounded by plastic at the corner of headlights. any tips on getting these out cant seem to get it at all. :(

just disconnect fog light on left hand side and leave washer and other fog connected!

. It's at the top corner of the lights where the bumper meets the wing. That explain it better? Thanks

I'm removing the headlights. Bt taking bumper off first. Got the part I was struggling with now. Cheers.

how long does the bumper take to get off and am i right that there is 8 screw on the bottom, 4 in each wheel arch, 4 on the top and is there 2 in the grill somewhere.. have to get headlight out because the tool i bought the car off left a bulb rolling around in the headlight and i have only had the car 2 weeks

It takes 15 minutes.
Maybe 30 if you're slow;)

i cant get to the bulb its resting under the dipped beam reflector at the min so hoping some bumps might get it out so i can maybe get it but other than that going to have to get the bumper off :(
