Hey guys and gals, just wondering how many people have a monsoon grey Ibiza and what mods you have done?
I have wrapped chrome grill,
will be wrapping rear number plate area
and probably rear 3 window tint!

Im looking for other ideas that suit the colour!

Thanks for reading!!

I opted for technic grey... not much help i know.
But having owned a few grey cars, you cant go wrong with window tints, heko deflectors, bright white lights (not blue tint!) and dont fear the chrome. everyone always blacks up their chrome and 90% of the time... it looks ****. the other 10% looks great mainly because its racecar and therefore as far removed from stock as you can get.
Try going for the OEM+ look. Envision how the engineers at SEAT would have really released the car if they had a crazy budget and disrespect for speedbump.
Oh yea... dont forget springs. Drop from stock if you want to get rid of wheelgap. and if you plan on racecar then invest heavily in some coilovers and bucket seats. but if not dont bother because it will make your daily commute a living hell :)

Thank you for the comment buddy! Yeah I think that has given me a bit more of a direction to focus on, I agree with the wind deflectors and white lights, blue bulbs looked cool for about 5 mins back in 2004! I am trying to keep within warranty for the time being as its a 14 plate, hence the wrapping, I am toying with the idea of powder coating my wheels, but I realise that will emphasise the arch gap!
I was battling between Technic and Monsoon, but the dealer helped my decision when I was informed of the waiting time for the technic and the monsoon was on the ship aleady!

Im getting my pirineos grey Cupra this summer and I have a few mods on the way. Keeping it still looking like a car that could have rolled of the factory floor like I have it imagined.

Tinted windows are stock on mine, smaller antenna is a possibility, wrapping the diffusor and numberplate area is a possibility if I find a material that I like, gloss white wheels (if possible I will get FR wheels rather than Cupra wheels) painted at the dealer, possibly some interior wrapping with personalised graphics (Cupra logos, internet nickname somewhere etc), led licence plate lights and interior lights, possibly a slim "subwoofer" under the seat to be used with the stock headunit and if the speakers are even ok then with stock speakers.

My dealer did not even try to get me one that was in stock! then again ive gone for an FR edition so there probably arent any stock in the UK when i ordered.
You can de-gap with SEAT approved springs from a dealer... but they will bend you over a barrel and do terrible terrible things to you to pay for it ;-)
You could look at wrapping the roof section, though that tends to only really work with a bright colour car as an accent. You could invest in some 18" wheels to reduce wheelgap and look beastly (though it would be worth seeing is another MK5 on here has run them, as id be worried that they might catch in the wheel arch at full lock)
Bootliner is a must to keep it neat and shiny ;-)
dont overlook a bluetooth ODB2 adapter and a few quid for torque app on android. very handy gizmo.
You could always look at retrofitting a reversing camera, stick it high in the window tuck the wire in the cracks of the roof felt, run it down the beam, under the seat, and into a little monitor by the cup holders :)

@eightball103 yeah I forgot to mention im planning the gloss roof wrap next week, Im not personally a fan of 18's on the ibiza as I used to have a mk4 gold on 18's and it ruined the handling and tramlined quite a bit!
I like the reversing camera idea also!

@pyrres good choice on the cupra mate, the sub is a great idean be careful of the airbag wiring as I believe the connection is under the front seats!

I forgot to mention I have added pressed plates! I got some plate surrounds but I decided I didnt like them too much!

yea im going with pressed plates too :p very continental.
If i end up keeping it at the end of the finance i might consider aftermarket springs and getting it remapped too, along with a miltek or the like.
Keep it cleaned, keep it polished up and looking mint.

Here's a few pics of mine, most mods have been covered by other posts, eg lowered, different wheels, silver indicators etc. I've also added pressed plates and black callipers since these pics. I'm getting a spoiler on this Tuesday. On the inside I've added things like the handbrake cover, armrest etc. Hope this helps

Is the Cupra logo on the dash a stock item or something you added. Because thats about where I was going to add my nickname or Cupra logo.

The only thing I´d be worrying would be the airbag. I dont know the exact place of the passenger airbag so if it goes off does the Cupra logo smash in to your passengers face. I think I might stick the logo somewhere else just to be sure.

EDIT: Just looked Ibiza crashtest and It seems it actually fits nicely as the airbag is further to the right.
