Admiral. Yeaa I know the prosports come with 5 year but i wanted a well known reputable brand. APs generally are known to be decent where as prosport I've heard mixed reviews

Just changed top mounts back to some new standard ones from Powerflex, wow what a difference, the ride is so comfy now.

May have to change to them after winter then! Did you do them yourself? Is it a full damper out jobbie?

I don't have spring compressors or anything and it'll cost a fair bit to get a garage to do them, just wondering how much of a pig they are to do.

So glad you've just said how good the AP's are. Been thinking about going springs and shocks, but think I will wait a bit and go for these!

Nope, just took the top 2 bolts off and undid the drop link, the strut then drops down enough to get the topmount out, the spring isn't really under any tension so no need for spring clamps, this is with AP coilovers bearing in mind, standard strut you'd need clamps, and even then when I tried before I had coilovers I couldn't make enough room to get it out so I left changing them until I got coilovers and did them all at once.

Hope that makes sense lol.

Cheers for that mate! Doesn't sound too bad then. Did you torque the top bolts back up or just tighten them a decent amount? I have the APs and the adjusters are only a few threads off the bottom so should have enough room.
