Morning all,

Ive had a few handling mods fitted for a while now which are:

Eibach sport springs (with standard shocks)
S3 strut brace
H&R ARBs

and ive found the car seems unstable in the corners and VERY crashy on bumps and potholes.

I been searching the forums for a definate answer with no luck and want to know what i can do to fix the problem!

So far im looking to get Koni FSD shocks to go with my springs in a effort to sort the crashy ride (or at least improve it) and get a 4 wheel alignment/set up thing (not sure what its called exactly!).

My ARBs are set to maximum so do you think its worth setting it to "medium" coupled with the other mods i have?

Basically i want my car to have a stable, comfortable ride i can have confidence in!

Please help .... thanks

The strut brace and the ARB's will not be the issue.

I guess your OEM dampers and Eibach springs don't like eash other.

OEM dampers are known to expire fairly early it's possible the spring have accellerated that problem

When you change the shocks a 4 wheel alignment is recommended

FSD's are very expensive and have been described as numb feeling.
But shocks will help with this problem

I have heard that about them.... I really went for them as i have the springs already and understand they work well together. Are there any other shocks worth going for? Id ideally like to keep the springs with the new shocks i get.

I would suggest that your springs were possibly too much for your std dampers anyway if they have done a few miles then even more so. Basically your dampers cannot control how fast the spring recoils hence the crashy feeling. Since ARBs work by transfering spring compression from the outside of the car, to the inside wheel, this has the effect of temporarily increasing the spring rate on the inside wheels. If your dampers were struggling anyway with standard springs, when this arb loading varies during the corner, then the dampers will not be able to cope.

Get some new dampers which are a match for the springs. ARBs and strut brace will not be your problem alone.

That made sense (after reading it 3 times!)

Looks like i shouldnt touch the ARBs and just see how things go after new shocks and alignment.

Koni FSD's are first choice but im still using the "search" button to see other reviews. Can anyone recomend any others?

I have a monster trip planned in sept (1500miles round trip) so better get cracking!
