Hi all,
Just been given a Leon FR CR 2011 61 plate as my Company car and bit confused over power, are they all 140bhp now or as the cars being sold on Autotrader some are listed as 170bhp, is this true or just a mistake by the owners.
Thanks

Not quite accurate. Up to 30 May 2011, all FR 2.0 TDi CR were 170bhp. Since then, the FR 2.0 TDi CR is 140bhp, it's the FR+ that's 170bhp.

Got any FR logos on the front seats? If not, then it's the later model with the 140. If it has then it's the earlier 170.

Thanks guys, I'm collecting Monday so will check the seats, could it still be a 170bhp without the FR logos or is that a definite?
What about Engine codes? or VINS?
Thanks

The only 170 without the front seat logos is the FR+. That'll have 18 inch wheels, sat-nav, xenons etc. Should be on the vehicle documents what you're getting under the bonnet.

if you are really unsure, check the build sticker in the boot under the boot carpet, it has all the options listed as codes which can be checked.

With MY12 SEAT dropped the Sport trim and extended the FR Range to FR and FR+

FR CR 143 and 1.4TSi 125 - 17" Wheels as standard

FR+ CR 170 and 2 litre TSi 211 - 18" Wheels, Xenons, Sat Nav, F+R PDC as standard

you'll need to know for sure for your tax. emissions are different on the two. think there is a government website that'll tell you if you know the reg no.
