A good dealer will keep in contact with the customer alot, I had major problems with SEAT Crewe when i bought my Red FR

They kept in very good contact with me and did some work for free for me (Painted the bumper recess black) so in the end i was happy with the level of customer service

Yeah porsche didn't. Dad sent 4 emails and didn't receive one reply. He then rang them, told them of all the emails he didn't get an answer to, and they still didn't reply. Useless. Porsche Newcastle - don't go there.

Odd. I thought they were quite good. I got my SEAT from Bentley/Porsche Newcastle and I couldn't have asked for more really.
They even came out to me and helped me start the car when it wouldn't. Account manager and Bentley/Porsche mechanic came out.

You're lucky, we've had 3 different salesman. The first even insisted that xenons came as standard on the cayenne and wouldn't listen otherwise until we handed him the brochure. He then explained how he needed to change a few customers cars...

Almost can't believe i'm saying this, but so far atleast Seat/Autoworld at Chesterfield have been pretty much ****-on with me n mine!

I work quite close to them but they have been quite willing to come and collect and drop back off my car when it's been in for warranty work and it's service last year.

Ok the parts Dept is crap as they seem to dissapear for ages when you ask for anything - but the parts Dept is NOT Seat as such, but more part of the whole autoworld set up.

Hope i've not just jinxed myself with this now, as i'm gonna book it in for an oil n filter change soon.

When I take mine into the dealer I always get them to check it over with me first,on the car sheet thing, then when I pick it up i do the same again, like every one I know every little stone chip etc.............

I've had no problems with the main dealer I use - David Cook Motor's in Chadderton.

they've been spot on with me (so far - touch wood)

feel for the OP though, if that was me I'd be wanting to tear someone a new ar$eh0le

It'll be a different colour when it comes back this time now you've said that.....

Well serviced mine last week or so. I thought good service untill i went to use the screen wash which i knew they topped up.

COMPLETELY SOLID TO THE TOP WITH ICE. i couldnt use it for days. They only filled it with water. It was empty when i gave it them. No colour no smell

WTF

Wow that's not good, especially in winter, what were they thinking?! And I remember when mine went in for warranty to do with the scuttle, I was told if it wasn't to the seat standard in the handbook (basically neat screen wash) then I'd have no claim if the pipes had cracked!

If this is true, then if your pipes crack now you probably wouldn't be covered under warranty! Crappy dealers.

Yes I do Andy, It's on of the tech's that's done it, for sure.

The amount of damage been done you couldn't possibly not know you had hit something, scuff is from the top lip of the bumper were boot starts, right down to the reflector lense at the bottom, and its down to the primer

They tried saying they wouldn't send a car out like that but we all know car salesmen are twinned with liars. Sent a couple of lovely emails in to the general manager who hasn't replied, might be time to pay him a visit.

I know. And im sure its included in the full service

"if they cant get the little things right....."

^this, for sure!

same here, when they came out with the job sheet i told him i knew every mark on the car, and when i told them were, what i said was exactly what was on the job sheet.

dealers cant even get the little things right so they will be hopeless on big things

There's a lot to be said for going to a specialist VAG garage/tuner. I always make a journey to go to someone I trust, instead of the local main dealer.

I put mine in to have the injectors replaced under warranty, they only snapped the clips that hold the plastic engine covers in place, it's little details like this that gets up my nose, I really don,t get the whole ' full seat service history' or be it any other marque, it just shows you know nothing about cars or care , I'd rather use a tried and tested local independent garage who rely on good workmanship for repeat business .not hounding you over the phone when your service/mot is due
