Armrest and additional boot tray

Hello,

I have a Leon MK II and I'm thinking of buying the Armrest and the Additional Boot Tray accessories.

I was wondering if anyone has either of them installed and could comment on their practicality.

On this page there are 3 codes for the Armrest, 1P1061000 seems to be the basic model, 1P0061000 which should go best with Cupra models and 1P1061000A which mentions the AUX input. I do have an AUX input port and I was wondering if i should get this version or the basic one ? Does anyone have the armrest installed and can comment on this ? What does the A version have that the standard version doesn't ?

The additional boot tray accessory also looks interesting but i don't know how easy it is to install, how much room it takes in the boot and how many things you can put in it. Can you put the first aid kit, extinguisher and two triangles ? I'd really like to get rid of the bag in the boot and this seems to be the perfect accessory for that :)
But i don't want it to steal room in the boot.

Any comments welcome,
Thanks.

In front of a PC....
I have both in my car (thanks to David at Seres)
Anyways to answer your questions:

1) If you have the AUX socket in your car then get the armrest with the Aux port in it. Basically its a square cut out in the armrest that allows you to keep using the Aux port as the armrest covers the area where the socket is. That is about it really.
2) The boot tray is quite handy. You can put a smallish shallow sized First aid kit in it and maybe a small fire extinguisher in it (haven't tried) Its not a deep tray and as for Warning Triangles I am not sure but if its one of those fold types then you might be able to get it in.

Hope this helps,
Alex

Thanks for the reply :)

Yes, the triangles are the folding type, i have 2 as that's the requirement.
Does the additional boot tray take a lot of room in the back ? How does it get mounted ? Do you exchange the boot cover with this tray ? Can things fall out of it or can you put a cover on top ?

I know, a lot of questions :D

No worries.
If the triangles are the folding type and they fold into tiny stick like things then you are good to go. The boot tray does not that much more room in the boot, when you install its just a case of taking out the cover, change a couple of screws (provided), put the boot tray together with the cover (you have a hook that will allow you to have the cover and the tray lift up at the same time when when you open the boot)
Hope this helps,
Alex

Thanks ... sounds like a good investment.
Now to get a price from a dealer :)
How much did you pay for it, approx ?

Ah, nevermind then. I was just curious how much it costs in the UK, I'm not living there so the price would have only been informative.

Thanks a bunch :)

didnt know you could get the arm rest in more than one colour!:cry:

dealer never told me so im stuck with a red dotted one when my interior is yellow dots plus the plastic on the arm rest is darker than the interior plastic!

its well worth the money though, used daily and great for ipod!

Are all the arm rests leather? Or can you get the material ones? My car has black interior with a kinda red stitching, what code should I use?

Dont think they are real leather and they are black with a hint of red detailing so perfect for your interior
