Arona FR Sport 1.5 Evo Ordered..

Hi All,

Upgrading from an Ibiza FR 115ps.
Wasn't too sure about the 1.5 Evo engine in the Arona having read some bad reviews talking about 'kangerooing' but had no such issues on my test drives.
Hopefully getting it Weds or Thurs but could all change due to Coronavirus

As an aside, slightly disappointed the FR Sport only comes with rear parking sensors. Does anyone know if front parking sensors can be retro-fitted so they work through the touch screen display?

Welcome to SCN, hope you get your Biza as expected and no delays. Never had a FR but a few Cupra Bizas, nice and quick cars, enjoy.

Sorry for the confusion, it's an Arona FR Sport I've ordered, I'm trading in the Ibiza. But yes, fingers crossed there's no delays..

I suspect all is on hold! Annoyingly they messaged me yesterday to say that it would need collecting by Wednesday.
I have suggested that they could deliver and justify it as them doing work that can't be done from home - not sure it's classed as essential though...
Ah well, something to look forward to when this is all over - assuming I'm still around..!

Well, I'm not an 'Arona owner' (or should that be an 'Arowner') yet and won't be until the crisis is over.

My Arona is sat in storage at the dealers and my Ibiza is on my drive. It will be interesting what they do regarding my deal now - the Arona was registered on Tuesday so could potentially be 2-3 months old by the time I'm able to collect it and I will have also made more payments off my Ibiza. It is always said that a new depreciates as soon as you drive off the forecourt but does the same apply if it's registered but hasn't moved?

I would like to think that all of this will have a positive effect on the repayments of the new deal that will have to be drawn up i.e. They will be lower... Fingers crossed...
