Hey guys,

I have found some ATS cups which i quite fancy for my Cupra, firstly just checking they will fit over the brakes on the front?

Secondly, the offset is ET20 with 185/55 tyres is this gonna be a problem on the front? Wheels are 15x7 just not sure if they will poke out a bit? nothing wrong with a bit of poke obviously but if i changed the tyres to 195/45 for example am i gonna be able to keep the tread covered by the arch?

Any help greatly appreciated!:D

no rubbing problems unless i had more than 1 heavy bloke in the back! make sure you get longer wheel bolts though!! mine came loose cos the standard ones are too short!

Ah cheers, thats a perfect example! Thanks for the note about the wheel nuts too, did you like the lok of them? I know its personal preference and i love the wheels, kind of wish they did them in a 15x9 though for the back.

Also was your lowered on coils?

yeah i did really like the look of them. it's lowered 40mm but it didn't really look i as the tyre's were a lower profile leavig a bigger arch gap. but I had a change of heart and wanted a more oem look so its on a set of origional 5 spoke gti alloys now.[B)]

Yeah i am umming and arhing at the moment, think i want 16's ultimately as i have 17's at the moment and it seems that lowering is an issue on large rims. Plus cheaper tyres etc...

to be honest it seems to be the width/low offset of some wheels that gives rubbing issues rather than the diameter of them. my car came with a set of 7 X 17 inch wheels and they never rubbed, only the cups with their low offset and 7.5j width:funk:. they looked cool but as they looked gay with high profile tyres i had to fit lower (45 profile) ones that left a bigger arch gap and that in turn made the car look like it as no longer lowered!
