With Covid currently being amongst us.. things are different such as online briefing 24 hours prior, but it will still be just as fun on a track session: I agree the evenings are better value as you’ll do more laps / cheaper fee / less fuel costs etc.
I always take a bag of tools such as brace, tyre inflation pack, spare coil pack and code reader amongst other things.
Touch wood rarely have an issue with my car!

As Fozzy said
Low entry jack I’d you have one.
Tyre gauge and inflator.
Few sockets to get at coilpacks.
Spare coilpacks and Murray clamps for hoses as I’ve had intercooler hoses blow off.
Then shed weight when you get there. Take out spare wheel etc.

Badger5 Custom Map + TIP,
3”Custom exhaust, FMIC, Bosh 550’s, BC Coilovers, ARB’s +loads more.

Why take spare coilpacks? Do they fail a lot on track?

I’ve never had one go on track, but they can be a weak link to a remapped BAM engine, and an easy fix too so worth carrying a spare. Same with boost hose clamps too, only ever had one go but worth taking a spare.
you can book a garage for £30 to keep your car and stuff in. My bag of bits sits behind the passenger seat wedged in so doesn’t move.

What do you mean by bam engine?
Anyone had any experience with the Michelin Pilot Sport 4 S tyre's on track?

The Cupra r runs the 225 BAM engine. To be fair I’ve had coil packs let go on an AUM golf GTI engine too. When you map them, everything’s at more strain. I

I’ve got a mk1 LCR with the Bam engine, stage 2 290bhp. Don’t know too much about the mk3 tsi engine I’ll be honest

Coilpacks is a mk1 problem when mapped.
Had two go on track. First time out.
Changed first and 1 lap later another failed. I now carry 3 spares. Original Bosch is best.
Not had one fail since though.
People with garages will let you out a pile of bits at the back of you ask nicely.
Some tracks you can book a garage as said. Others it’s first come first served basis. As with Brands.
If taking hose clamps. Buy Murray Clamps. Best in the business. Equal tension around the clamp.
Get out there and have a laugh.
Best thing to do.
Take it from there.

Did donnington park tonight... car ran really well,

Had a couple of issues to sort before nurburgring next week, mostly due to the new tubular set up and castor angles and bodywork fouls / driveshaft anti roll bar foul

Looks like the next track day will be cancelled, and I have been looking forward to going there. This is really disappointing.
