Washed the car at the weekend. The nice weather this week has meant it has stayed nice and shiny. The good feeling you get when driving a Leon seems to be doubled when the sun is glinting of the bodywork....

Anyway. In the last few days I have noticed a number of Audi - VW drivers dogging me up for no apparant reason!

The most noticeable one was when I was at a mini roundabout in Bristol, waiting for the right hand traffic to clear when an equally shiny Audi A4 passed me slowly going the other way.

It was like one of those old western stand offs... Our eyes locked for some reason and this guy just looked at me with utter disgust, trying to look down his nose at me.

I just smiled to myself. The fact that he looked at the car and me in that way just meant he was jealous.

Other people see the car and just want to have a go lately. They don't learn and just get left for dust. Someone even tried to have a go with a new Fiat Punto! It just makes me laugh.

Anyone else notice this anti-Leon rage?!

Respect to Mosser (sorry to hear about your car m8)

Cheers yall

A yellow 90-92 Audi Coupe hit me down seriously a couple of days ago. I mean in about 120km/h he was 100 meter ahead of me. What kind of motors do these things have?

But people driving new A4s or A6s seem to be old gentlemen who never race. With the exception of some S6 drivers (one passed me on the motorway doing probably 250)

Probably a chipped S2 edging close to 300 bhp by the sound of it. Nice. :D

The one I saw last night in Cheltenham would have demolished me. Shiny Black 02 plated W8 Passat Estate. Those 4 exhausts set the tone......I didn't bother. :)

Bloody Vectra was harassing me last night on the A414. I'm doing 80 with much slower traffic to my left and this guy is crawling all over my *rse. Got to a double roundabout ( O=O ) and he tried to undertake me! B*ll*cks to that I thought. Kept it in 2nd, belted it up to 60 between the two bends, braked late and hard, whipped round it and just planted it again - goodnight Mr Vectra :D Despite having his *rse whooped, he was still trying to give it - front end rising right up with every gear change  I just couldn't be bothered after that and just pulled in to the left and let him go - a complete twat!

I did much the same thing to a BMW 1.8 the other night. Gave him the shock of his life over 150 yards. He was gaining slightly on me but ran out of road due to a slower car in front of him. He was well upset................

.............

.......................because I was 7 up in my Alhambra, all of us looking and laughing at him!!!!:D

Just sat in traffic for 3 hours for a 6 mile journey to pick up my car from the garage (having the dreaded leaky doors fixed :( )

This accident on the M4 has caused chaos in the area. :(

Anyway, on the way back it was quite clear in my direction (still blocked the other) and a Leon Cupra - Black magic, identical to mine pulled out behind me. Both our cars had obviously just been washed, he was wearing the same colour shirt as me and both of us were wearing sunglasses.

Picture the scene for all the stationary traffic going the other way - "look it's the Leon twins!" It was really embarassing! :p

Sat behind a red BMW at the lights one afternoon, the lights go green and he just say there. Just touched the horn to let him know the lights had changed. The look I got was of complete disgust. He put his foot down, we got to about 80 before he gave up.

My leon is a company car and I was talking to one of the other guys at our place (who would love a cupra as well - but can't have one) was talking to me about my car again. Happened to mention that he was sat behind a Leon Cupra on the Motorway in his Vectra. Just wondering if it was anyone here who waved to him before they left for dead in the outside lane? Those are the words he used :)

We've noticed the Audi "problem" in the few days we've been down here. There seems to be a real dislike of Leon Cupras; less so at home. Maybe Audi pilots are more knowledgeable in the South West, or maybe it's because there seem to be more Leons down here? Any ideas?

There are a few Cupra's around the area - not too many though. It is still a bit of an "exclusive club".

So many people try to have a go. Some of it may be due to my personalised plate and not just the cupra.

I'm sure if the car wasn't in a secure car park when I'm at work, and locked up in a bolted garage at night I would have had a key down it by now.

cheers,

Syphon
