Does anyone know if my car(55 plate mk1 leon cupra r 225) uses 'Can bus' or if uses the ignition feed to work the radio? I have tried the Aura 2 radio and it works but doesn't remember the radio code or stations you set etc. I'm not sure if I've bought the wrong radio or not. Any help would be greatly appreciated. The pioneer aftermarket cd player that came with the car works fine, no problems at all with it.

I cant remember exactly but I think that.i swapped the red and yellow constant and ignition wires, and removed the blue speed sensor out of the loom and wrap tape around it else you might get a fault code
Losing radio stations means your permanent live is missing/incorrect. If the Pioneer worked ok do as suggested above and swap the two live wires over. Best way is to get a multimeter and check what is what
