Apologies for the late reply - it is prudent to understand just how Matix lamps actually work, we are accustomed to seeing the headlights go down when switching but Matrix lamps work by reducing the area of the lamp that would affect an oncoming vehicle or when following a vehicle so as to not cause a
problem for the other driver, it took me a while to actually understand what was happening but the object of the exercise is that when your Matrix headlights Auto dip they don` affect other drivers but you do not loose the important light spread when travelling at speed on unlit roads, but I do find when I am, driving at speed on unlit roads if the lights have dipped they don`t switch back to a full beam quick enough for me!
As a test of yours watch as you aproach the car in front you are following on a dark road on Auto lights you should see a lit area affecting the car in front go darker but not completely dipping your headlights as is normal.
OF course as is normal nowadays if you have LED lamps according to some drivers that haven`t got them they are the sperm of the Devil and and are far too bright, as were tungsten lights that replaced candle power, Halogens that replaced Tungsten and HID`s that replaced Halogens now we have LED`s with some manufacturers even replacing those with Lasers!
