i had one on my my mk3 golf. personnally think they look cool. however, it did flap about abit at speed, and ended up marking the bonnet more that a stone chip would. so, wont be getting another!

Dunno if vinyl would look the part? I can't remember seeing anyone else doing it tbh.

I've got one on the Ibiza and I like the look TBH. I commute 60 miles a day, up and down the A3, through the Hindhead tunnel roadworks. The amount of crap on the roads is awful and especially at this time of year with grit and salt etc.

If you like the look, or its just for functionality, go for it!

I have seen one somewhere. Hold on.... Found one for the Mk3, not the Mk4. Will have a deeper look later!

i've got one of these bonnet bras on mine, to cover stone chips haha and i think they look cool, although it will probably go once i can afford for things to be resprayed! i find it good quality, but mine only cost me a fairly small amount
