So, currently driving a 2022/22 V2 DSG with approx 14,500 miles and approx 2/3mm tread left on all OEM Bridgestone tyres.

Been looking at various tyre brands but decided to go with AutoGreen.

Not sure how long I will keep the vehicle for hence decided to fit the above tyres - £78.99 each. With discount got them for £284.36 to be fitted on my drive.

Autogreen Super Sport Chaser SSC5 Tyres: 245/40 R19 98Y (Extra Load fitment)

Ratings are C for fuel economy and B for driving in wet with a noise of 72db.

Vehicle does approx 7,000 miles per year of which motorway miles are infrequent.

Wasn‘t overly impressed with the Bridgestone’s - grip and noise. So rather than replace back to OEM which would have cost £230 per tyre(!) decided to give the AutoGreen’s a try.

Will post my review here however will be under normal style driving / no Colin McRae or boy racer but will see if the ‘slip’ that occurs in the Bridgestones happen with these - by that I mean the stopped at a junction and want to pull out. Even at normal acceleration there was a noticeable wheel spin at low speeds for some reason.

Anyone else tried AutoGreen?

You are a braver man than I Cvpra 🙈.

Please do let us know how you get on with your 'Ditchfinder' priced boots.

I hope you will be surprised, in a good way of course 👍

If your car is on lease/ PCP or the like, what’s the script if you give it back with budget tyres on?
Not had a new car or a car on finance for nearly 20 years so I’m out of touch.

Update - National Tyres failed to stick to the time slot and after some serious consideration I have cancelled the above purchase.

Worrying reading here albeit a different tyre model (SC1) - https://www.tyrereviews.com/Tyre-Tests/2025-Auto-Bild-Summer-Performance-Tyre-Test.htm

I will probably stick with CostCo who I’ve used before with no issues.
No current offers on sadly.

Michelin Pilot Sport 5’s could be the choice …

The right decision to cancel IMHO. You rely on those 4 small contact patches of rubber between your car and the road for the safety of you and your passengers and safe, predictable handling of your car.

Opting for a cheap set of ditchfinders to save a few £’s isn’t worth it IMHO.
