Hey everyone, I just wanted to know if anyone of you knows if the Leon automatically locks the doors when you leave the car if you accidentally forgot to lock them; I discovered that when you open the doors using the remote, it locks them back after 1 minute if you have not opened the door; however it does not lock them automatically if you forget to do so when you leave the car
Thanks

Only if you unlock and leave all the doors closed. Then it will re-lock.

If you unlock and open then close a door or the tail gate it will not re-lock as you could have left the keys and a baby in the car in the hot sun in spain.......One dead baby :(

I could be wrong (I havn't actually checked on my current car) but I think that it relocks if you haven't opened either of the front doors or the boot.

I.E. if you lock, unlock, open then close a rear door, then walk away it will still relock after whatever the time delay is (60 secs from memory).

I'll check later.

surely you have answered your own question in post 1,
you are right, (and its the same on the Mk1) in that if the car is locked, you then press unlock on the remote but dont open a door it will lock again.
If acccess to the car is made, ie open a door then it wont.

Why is it like this, well first is that you may unlock the car in error so the auto arm is a good feature.
However there is the danger that you could be locked out of the car, and so it access has been made it wont autolock.

In short the feature is not for when you forget to arm it, but instead its where you may have disarmed the alarm in error.
