How do you want it to work? Displaying songs on the stereo?

If thats what you want then you need a combined usb and aux cable off ebay for about £15.

Well first off make sure your lead works in something else. Then just get your device, play a song and make sure the radio has 'aux' on it, and the sound simply plays from the device.

If that doesn't work, then its faulty.

Dont mean to be rude but have you actually selected the AUX feed on the head unit ?

yep lead would be my next guess but also try it with another device

Is AUX appearing on the screen when you press the button? I had to get a replacement head unit under warranty as it wouldn't recognise Aux mode at all.

Sounds a bit weird. Either try a different AUX lead, or try another device other than your iPhone and see if that works. If you try a different lead and a different mp3 player, it's your head unit at fault and you may want to go to a dealer for a look-see. If it's just your iPhone, you may want to try one of the leads on this thread... it uses the USB & Aux slots, and you plug your iPhone into it & control it through your head unit.

Nah mine doesn't recognise it tried everything think it is faulty have to stick to cd's I guess :( thanks anyway

Sounds like something's wrong between the head unit and the socket like mine was. You can switch Aux mode on or off, but all I ever got from pressing CD/AUX was CD mode. Get a new aftermarket head unit with a USB socket on it if your car is out of warranty to get the standard one sorted.

To be honest, you're probably better doing that anyway if you want all the functions available. All you can do with AUX mode is turn the volume up and down, which isn't ideal.
