Certainly will. What clutch are you using out of curiosity mate? That's the kind of figures I'm aiming for eventually.

Stock clutch still...

It's done very well to this day but I rarely launch it off the lights or in 1st gear as I know that will only kill it. These cars are better once on the move and not off the line imo.

I will be getting this Awesome clutch though in the next couple of months. More reviews I read the more I seem to want it.

Does this clutch/flywheel feel as good with town to town driving as opposed to the standard items?

What I mean is, my friend was running an upgraded clutch/SMF on his calibra 4x4 and he was stalling it all the time, cos obviously the revs drop quick (almost too quick).

Will the same thing happen in this instance? Cheers. (I'm not after a clutch just interested)

No, lol.

I've driven El's and it's just like an OEM clutch the way it feels. Brilliant bit of kit.

I got a Price from GSF today for a solid flywheel conversion kit with clutch kit & the concentric cylinder the Price was working out to be few hundred Pound cheaPer to this kit with Awesome, so wondering what advantages are to be gained from this Awesome kit rather than the GSF kit? GSF Part no. 022VG1250

I posted up a thread the other day asking about the Valeo solid flywheel conversion as i'm still in two minds whether to go for it over the Awesome kit. Depends what you want/need at the end of the day. To be honest i'm still swaying towards the Awesome kit though as i eventually want to go Stage 2, maybe more, and don't want to have to replace the standard setup with an uprated one when i can just do it now.

As the creator of this thread I will happily shed experience for you.

The awesome kit was put together but awesome who are VAG specialists who know what they are doing, who have tried and tested there products. In this case - this clutch.

This is an upgraded clutch with a better than oem clutch feel, it handles torque superbly (I'm running 313lb) and it doesn't "chatter" like other SMF and it's great on general day to day driving (mines a daily driver) and it handles perfectly when you boot it.

To again sum it up, it is by far a must of you are going stage 2 in an LCR and it's the best clutch for the price.

Not saying they havent researched etc but the GSF clutch kit is a fair bit cheaper and they have not had any kits back with complaints etc and im guessing that the clutch developers (LUK i think) must have also put their time in to make it a reliable kit. Also when i spoke to Awesome last they are planning on putting their clutch kit prices up so wanted to buy a kit soonish from them and keep unitl mine dies if their kit realy is that good.

How soon are Awesome planning this price rise? I want to get one of these kits in the next 1-2 months but if they put it up too much I'll buy a Sachs instead.

Right guys, I just gave Awesome a quick call - helpful as always, really good bunch!

So the deal is the price is an introductory price which has been running for quite some time. In fact since the kit went on sale December last year. The chap on the phone did a quick check and they've sold near on 40 of these now and have great feedback across the board :)

In terms of price, it's £625 currently with FREE UK mainland delivery and if there is a price rise to come, the chap believes it will be once it's been on sale for one year. So we're looking at December this year.

I should be ordering mine Sep/Oct time :)

I'm still loving this clutch setup after around 4k miles and some abuse. Will be adding some 550cc injectors and a custom remap next month so a fairly decent power/torque hike. Hoping to continue to report good things with this clutch.
