Hi folks,

As per title I'm back in a MK1 LCR - or I will be once the deal is complete.

After going of to enjoy some V8 lovelyness in the form of a

C43 AMG

& then a B6 S4

It's now time to become a little more sensible again as 20mpg at a push isn't so great now that my works car share has fallen to bits with folk getting paid off.

Happily I've manged to do a good deal on this:

So getting this plus cash my way due to the difference in value between S4's and LCR's

It's a little bit tired bodily, usual rust spots at bottom of front arches, a few dings, worn steering wheel and gearknob etc but mechanically its sound.

It's got a full turbo back3" exhaust with sportcat, Revo stage 1 map, Neuspeed Boxed induction kit, mandatory Forge 007p, brand new Brembo calipers straight from the Seat dealer, EBC discs and redstuffs all round.

So it's a good base to start from & over time before winter I'll get the rust spots repaired using the cash i'll save on go go juice :D

I'll miss the the S4's Milltek enhanced V8 rumble but i'm looking forward to having a turbo whistle again :D

One question for the experts, I had stage 2 on my previous LCR but this necessitated a FMIC which meant losing the spots, I may go for stage 2 again in the future but i was wondering if anyone has done keeping the twintercooler setup but replacing them with uprated alloy ones? To me it sounds plausible & I'd like to keep it looking stock if possible - thoughts anyone?

Sounds mechanically sound :D

LoL its now sounds farty, got it on Tuesday & when I got home i notice the exhaust sounded blown near the front.

I thought this was strange as it's a full 3" CobraSport with sportcat that was only fitted in April. Took it to C&C in Hillington for a gander and they say the wrong type of clamp has been used during fitting which has knackered the gasket on the downpipe & damaged the flange. They showed me the damaged & it's going to need a new flange welded onto it.

Though the exhaust may have been fitted incorrectly by the Tuner who fitted it (respected Ford tuner in central Scotland I believe) I also imagine the previous owner also maybe horsed the clamp up in an attempt to quieten it down for sale and its worked loose again over the past few days. So no real point trying to take it back to the fitters as I'm not the original purchaser & they could just claim it was fine when it left them & I have no evidence to the contrary.

So semi pissed off about that but it's all part of the 2nd hand car game & sold as seen obviously. So it's booked into C&C to get sorted on Tuesday, I know they will do a good job on it, I've had work done by them before and their welding is like art.

Other than the blow though the car runs fantastic and gets double what my S4 to the gallon while only being a bit slower.

Here are a couple of better pics I got before the rain came again.

Dunno if anyone on here recognizes the car (it's from the Kinross area), I don't think the owner was on here, the certainly never mentioned the were when I mentioned the forum.

Cheers
