I have fitted the BAILEYS DV36 DUMPVALVE yesterday. It doesnt fit where the original DV is but instead is mounted in the front right hose that connets from the intercooler. Richard at Baileys said that they sell quite a few to Audi TT's but they only seem to work on 225 BHP version for some reason and they dont know why. They also said that they work fine and shouldnt cause my motor to run rich or go into limp mode. He has offered my 100% refund if im not satisfied. I will see how it performs and check with vagcom for any faults and keep everyone who's interested posted. :)

Yes its atmospheric and i am only telling you what i was told from Baileys about them having problems with it working on the 180 but for some reason it seems to work on the 225. They dont understand either.

Bailey DV36 is, as far as I can tell, an atmospheric dumpvalve. Your 100% refund awaits...

And as for the valve working on the 225 TT but not the 180, WTF?

Will you be able to get a refund on the Turbo & Cat?

Not being funny, but why on earth are you a) putting your car at risk b) doing someone's development for them c) paying for it.

Catergorically it's OK to say now that Bailey don't have a clue - otherwise they'd understand why it can't ever work, with the existing EM setup.

Seeing as the relocation means i can change DV's in seconds im going to use the ATMOS for shows only, i.e. roll up to the stand and park up with the odd rev here and there! Soon as i wnat to race or drive home etc the recirc goes back on!

i have just bought a LCR (225bhp) & im a wanting to fit a bailey dv36 dump valve but cant find anywhere that sells a fitting kit.. anyone have any ideas where i could get one?

Lol, read post 7 on this thread... vent to atmosphere Dv's will shag your car or cause it to throw up error codes or just run like a pile of sh1te... or all 3 :p

atmospheric valves don't work on these engines for one reason or another. plus, on here they don't seem to like the whooshy sound they make either. you'd be better off buy a forge 007 replacement for your plastic bosch valve and then maybe buying some sort of enclosed induction kit so you can hear the valve working.

i quite like the whooshy sound, my brother has a hks jobby on his evo 2, sounds alright to me!

The reason is given HERE

It would be more accurate to say that, on here, people don't seem to like putting stuff on their cars that will break other stuff.

:)

yeah i know that they don't work but there have been threads where people have fitted the GFB valve and said it worked on un-chipped cars because its half atmos and half re-circ. then there have been threads where people have asked about atmos valves (like this one for example) and the word "chav" and "RST" pop up. me personally i like the sound as i've said earlier but i'm no chav.

at this point i'd like to point out that i'm not saying that anybody has called me a chav and i'm not having a pop at anybody either............................... oh god i'm tired, time for bed!
