Same - depending on what model you have (cast arms or forged) it's often worth undoing the ARB droplink as that gives you some room for manoeuvre.
The knuckle will move forward and back a bit if you have the steering lock off, which is helpful, while I also put a jack under the control arm to push the ball joint in place.
Try not to get your hand caught between the driveshaft and control arm if you jack it up though - three months later and it's still painful.
