Just looking at exhaust's online and having a bcs myself, i noticed that the bcs has obviously the downpipe which leads onto a long thin resonator box. Then this leads onto a second small and fat resonator box.

The milltek has the downpipe which only leads to the small fatter resonator box and no first thin long resonator box.

any reason for this.

what would happen if i took the second fat resonator box off my bcs and fitted a straight pipe?

its loud as it is

BCS fit the additional tunnel silencer so you don't get any motorway drone.
Something the Milltek suffers from.
Besides the BCS fits better and sounds better

I had a full milltek non res system on my a3 tfsi before. Sounded immense and no problems on motorway with sound. Was planning on getting the same for my leon fr tfsi. I'm hoping it sounds just as nice. Never heard of the BCS system though

My bcs is a early system, non power valve, think its just a sports system.

Decat with two resonators and back box delete, sounds loud and nice burble in idle.

Few pops between gear changes too. Was thinking of getting a back box on though .

And ive got a non resonated section in the shed, i might put it on just to see how loud itd be, for a laugh

I'm quite happy with the milltek exhaust (Resonated ) quieter model and have no knocking noises so seems good fit .
I know that BCS are cheaper ,but so far so good -it's a nice classy sound to it and not too over the top .

Might try a bcs exhaust depending on price. Was looking at a milltek mainly because I can buy it and get it fitted locally. Just don't want it to drone or be overbearing on the motor way

I forgot to say that you hardly notice any cabin noise from the exhaust ,but from cold start obviously you can . Obviously take it through a tunnel ,once warm, and it's real class :D

That's why I went for a resonated system ,it's not overbearing . I think BCS do both types like milltek .
Out of interest it came well packaged and I got local dealer to fit it in about 1hour .

I have a cat back miltek non res on my ed30.. can't really hear it. The bcs on my mates cupra is a lot better.

Tbh bcs has great build quality

Yeah before the bcs i had a custom non red backbox n it was ok

Its the fact i have a decat downpipe has made it loud imo.

Ill have to try n get a video. And my non red back box up for sale
