OPF/GPF Back system is specially designed to soften and muffle the sound, maintaining comfort in everyday driving.
The resonator in this system is located in a separate housing on a straight section of the pipe and its task is to dampen the high-frequency drone (a monotonous hum in the cabin at certain speeds), due to which the exhaust sounds more velvety, voluminous, but less aggressive. A separate location allows you to more accurately adjust the length and volume of the chamber, without compromising the main barrel.
The rear muffler contains the main noise absorption chamber: partitions, perforated pipes, sound-absorbing packing (mineral fiber, basalt or metal fiber).
The ideal solution for comfort in everyday driving.
When driving quietly, it sounds quieter than stock, which is great for listening to music.
The sound is less metallic and more velvety, the hum on the highway is reduced and there is still an unobtrusive bass.
It starts to pound (with bass) if you turn on sport or cupra.
I forgot to record the sound in the workshop, I'll add it some other time, but in fact, you need to record it while driving, when the car is just running, it doesn't reveal anything, although you can hear a distant bass roar.
I got a set with black tips because the whole car is dark and nickel would stick out like a pain in the ass. The seller said that I was lucky, otherwise I would have to order it for an additional fee.
