Hi Guys.

Been searching on the forums and found lots and lots about CAI for the cupra K04 but hardly anything useful about the FR K03....

Can CAI's be bought for the FR and where abouts in the engine bay is the turbo because ive been told its in a completely different position to the cupra and a lot more difficult to get to?

On a stage 1 FR would i see any sort of gain? also i would like a bit of turbo flutter noise so what would be best for that aswell as performance?

The only difference that i'm aware of is that the K04 cars have a take off for the DV valve otherwise i think they are identical. As for what to go for there are plenty of topics already been covered, its probably just as easy to search for them ;)

as i said i have searched and havnt come up with anything that helps me in purchasing one with regards to an FR....

which is best for performance? loud? price? where to buy from? etc etc

presuming bluefin map cars leave the MAF sensor size as oem for the scaling in their maps, I would say a BSH or ITG intake in theory would work best for you.

The BSH is alot cheaper, however there has been one issue with a bung melting on someones car, but im sure that the problem can be sorted easily by using a bung which isnt made of silicone.

The BHS is 200 squid, the ITG 300+vat.

Id go BSH as its best value for money.

IF it helps im going for the ITG Cai thats been reviewed by warren...if not its the twin airtake from Forge but other than there isn't any other Cai's that I have been intrested I think APR is going to developed anew TFSI one but thats next year

would the BSH give me same sort of gains and sound as the more expensive ITG?

also where can i buy it from?

Dubtek sells them currently but he is hard to get hold of. There will be another seller of them soon though. if you cant wait you can import one from the states.

As for gains they are similiar, but wont know for sure which one is better than the other till I do some logs of both of them.

Trouble with the forge unit is that it doesnt retain the stock size MAF housing, which could potentially give running issues unless the software code is adjusted to recognise the difference.

Take a BSH Trueseal CAI, i have one on my TFSI DSG Altea and i works super, really easy to install.
Look in my album to see it.

I have the Neuspeed intake in my 2007 Leon FR.....very cheap ( $190 )....and the sound is addicting, also add a forge DV spacer and enjoy.
