That's one of the things I hate about sportlines I think they sit way too low on the rear.
Although in sportlines on my fr I never had any clearance problems.
I suppose it depends how big the speed bumps are around your area and if you regularly carry adults in the back with the boot loaded.
I usually only carry kids with the boot loaded and no problems

Hi guys thought I'd jump in ,, sounds to me like the H&R are better if you've tried both,, would cheap ish coil overs for £500 be much better (dont need to adjust ride height) ?

It is mostly adults I carry in the back, plus your missing your back box whereas mine seems to get lower every day lol

Yeah my R has no rear silencer but my fr had a milltek rear silencer which was as big as standard with no issues.
I think we've all gave as much opinions and advice we can.
Decisions decisions

If you don't need to adjust why don't you just buy shocks and springs and not bother with coilovers, I got picked up a set of KW's for £440+vat +fitting obviously

So what would be the main advantage of that setup over springs only (sorry if/when i sound stupid)

main advantage is your improving your shocks, so better handling. You can do the springs first and then shocks later if you like, I sold the kw springs back as I already had eibachs on

Where is best (cheapest) place to get either H&R or Eibach springs ??

I was under the impression that was the only drop H&R done.
40mm on a standard car so maybe 30mm on an fr and 25mm on a cupra.
As they are already lowered from the factory.

Sportlines fitted here for over 20,000 miles. My car wears the full 'R' rear conversion and the rear box sits really low, I can have 5 people in the car and have no problems with speed humps.

The car sits absolutely perfect on the 18" Seat Sport wheels.

I drive 50/60 miles a day and have had no problems with the height of the car at all.
