Hey guys not long had my seat leon cupra R 210 bhp got about 2k to spend on it any ideas what would be the best thing to get for performance ??? thanks :)

do a search mate

first mods are:

panel filter or induction kit
007p dump valve
exhaust
anti roll bars
coilvers
remap

should be good for 2k

saying that, this is what 8k worth of mods gets you (partly including labour)

welcome to our world...it's a bottomless pitt!! muhahaha

some of the below unnecessary, but just trawl through the list for a full list of typical mods and prices

Engine modifications already in place for the install:

Carbonio CAI (on car when purchased) about £160 from AwesomeGTI
Pro Alloy FMIC (£500)
Forge 007p (on car when purchased) about £90 from Forge Motorsport
Evo Gasket (£65) from Badger5 www.badger5.co.uk - Bill Brockbank
Blueflame Turbo back exhaust (100 cell race cat, about £450) from Blueflame direct
Forge TIP (2nd hand abut £100)
Spec Stg3 clutch with lightened flywheel - £750 (from TTSRoadsport www.ttsroadsport.co.uk)

Sitting in my bedroom at the moment:

225 Injectors (purchased from Backdraft Motorsport £100)
turbo gaskets with all new bolts and fittings (from Seat direct about £45)
JBS Tubular Manifold (from JBS £500)
ATP GT2x (from Dawson Autosport) + (Hybrid treatment from CR Turbos www.crturbos.co.uk for £160)
Spec of Hybrid turbo - Larger compressor wheel, re-profiled housing, 360 degree thrust bearing
ATP TIP (from Dawson Autosport)
Manifold gaskets and all new bolts (From Seat direct about £40)
3" MAF (ordered from TTS Roadsport for £33)
Walbro Inline Fuel pump (ordered from the US on Ebay for approximately £70)
4 bar fpr (off a member on here for £35)
4 new Hitachi *Bolt Down* Coil Packs (from Seat direct £119)

good list mate..wicked bunch of mods there.....just one question, is that all it costs for a blueflame zorst?...blimey......that spec stage 3 clutch is pricey tho.....

I believe the guy who bought it, got it from a group buy, hence the price. I think it is normally around £550 - £600, but sounds awesome

spec 3 clutch is with lightened fly wheel as well, which is about £250-300 on top of the clutch, hence the big price, but worth every penny:D

must hope for another blueflame group buy then...

yeh spose mate, forgot flywheels are around £300...

any idea how much power you should be putting out after these mods?

about 290bhp - 300bhp up to the redline with about 310lbft hopefully

I am the first to give a gt2x hybrid treatment on here so will see if it actually makes a difference or not - the results will reveal all

that sounds awesome mate...310 ft/lbs?.....smiles smiles smiles.........wish i had the £££ to hybrid mine.....but maximum i will go is stage 2...hence me gettin the zorst and FMIC on group buy...

is it worth it on yours?

could be as the turbo would come off, hybrid treatment, then back on, so you would be looking at a grand, but then you need the manifold etc and a few other bits, so for a slight increase in power, it may not be worth it in your case as you are already hitting over 270bhp....although a hybrid k04 would be very rapid indeed!

as for me, i am going from 180bhp to almost 300bhp...:D:D:D

dunno what i will get with a hybrid..320?....
tts gave me a quote for the hybrid treatment, which seems soooo tempting, but as you say you have to do a few more things, bearing in mind i havent got a turbo back or FMIC yet, which them both is close to £1500 before
you think about the turbo..

another good thing about hybrid is it will look standard in my engine, which then could save you ££ on insurance...**not recommended**..

gives me plenty to think about tho..

320bhp absolute max i reckon

well you have seen my actual price list for those mods

you would be at least looking at over 2k, and thats just for the turbo, fmic and exhaust....you then have the bespoke remap on top of that, plus labour as well. although to get 320bhp, you would need the manifold as well, so add on another £500 at least

call it 4k+ easily

hence all this work has added up to almost 8k, madness I know, but you have to have the handling to match as well

people soon realise that its far from cheap when you need to go to this sort of level of power and tuning

bloody ell 8k?......fair do's mate....saying that i must of spent close to £3000 on her already....

ive always said power is nothing without control, and sorting suspension to your own particular requirement is proper headache time...lol.....fund maybe £1000-1500 on decent suspension etc...and even then setting certain coilovers for rebound can take weeks ..lol...

i always thought i would keep mine standard, before i bought it i thought it must be the best it can be...(naive i know)...it really isnt....there is loads of things that can be improved on. it just boils down to 3 things you need to have- time, money, patience...

good luck with the motor mate....

an audi badge!!!!!!!!!!!

bout £20 on e-bay :roflmao:

sorry, couldn't resist :hide:

seriously though,
poly bushes, arb's front and rear, decent rubber and decent brake pads!!

these are a must before increasing power!!

performance aint just about how many BHP and how fast you can go, it more about, how fast you can take corners, and can you stop!!!!!!!!!!!

rule number 1 in any kind of hop-up stylee,

sort the chassis out first, then it'll be abe to handle the extra power :)

just imho

Stu

i love my lc got it for the next 4 years at least cant wait to get a decent job so i can throw money at it
