So earlier today I found out my rear driver side coil spring has snapped, now I need a new one. Where do you guys recommend buying from? I'm fitting it myself and steering clear of the stealers.

I've seen these on Eurocarparts:
http://www.eurocarparts.com/ecp/c/S...0e5b7011b15ee5219b749be2c7896ed9592be7&000073

And a few more on Bestpartstore:
http://www.bestpartstore.co.uk/seat/leon-1p1/19499/10213-coil-springs

1. Which of these sites do you recommend if any?
2. If none of the above where would you recommend?
3. Are the springs shown in the two links the correct ones for my PD170?
4. Would I need to buy any spring caps? If so how many?

Need to get these ordered ASAP so all advice is welcomed.
Thanks.

Have you had a price from Dave @ Seres? Much cheaper than my local dealers even when including postage.

Personally I'd replace them as a pair.

Good idea, didn't even cross my mind. I'll get a quote off him. My budget was tight enough before finding out about this problem so can't really afford a pair. Do you know if what's in the links I posted is the correct part? Thanks for the help.

Do you have a TPS near you, they supply to main dealers and alot of them will supply to you at trade price.

I have used them many times at the one in Brum and never had any probs getting stock off them at a discounted rate.

Oh and its obviously all genuine parts with standard warranty.

I went and bought a spring from CES, £54 inc VAT and 2 year warranty. My only problem now is I've tried getting the spring off and replacing it myself but the bolt I need to remove is completely seized on and is not moving no matter how hard I try. I've rounded one of my sockets trying to get it off. Can anyone link me to a manual for replacing rear springs?

I'm also back at the dilemma of replace one spring or replace all four with lowering springs as the cost of the part I have and labour for a garage to fit it is going to rack the price up into the 100s and on top of that the likelyhood of the other spring going high considering the age of the car (2006). How much (roughly) do you reckon I'll be paying to haver the car lowered, including the price of all four springs and labour.

Thanks.

I just got one spring replaced in the rear and it was fine when I found it was snapped at the mot cost me £25 to get done at the garage

My sisters car has a broken rear coil spring. I called Kwik Fit and to replace 2 rear coil springs I was quoted £165 all inc. (May 2015 for future reference) and should take an hour and a half to two hours to complete the work.
I was told that they will check wheel tracking afterwards at no cost.
