Best speakers for bass???

I dont listen to my music loud and dont want to fit a sub, all i am after the best door speakers for bass! I have the speaker mounts aready i have been into halfords etc and heard a few speakers but not sure which ones to go with any ideas??

Yeah had the vibe slick and the black air at halfords both sound good i take it you had no issues with the magnets getting close to the window??

Vibe slick 6 here too, excellent speakers. SAK 3103 adapters needed. Dead easy to swap though!

I've got 4 vibe slick 6 speakers and a vibe c12 active subwoofer!

allbut,

will you be retaining use of the original tweeters? if so, instead of buying 2-way or 3-way speakers, you may as well just buy replacement mid bass drivers like these:

these will give you a much better mid bass sound reproduction

EDIT:
Its also wise if replacing the speakers to go for some sound deadening such as Dynamat. As the speakers are screwed into the door card, rather than the inner metal door skin, you can end up with a lot of vibration through the doors

If you already have a sub you'd be better putting that in. The vibes have good bass, but they need to be at a decent volume to hear it! Subwoofer works well at low volumes!

I was going to keep the standard tweeters and was looking at the getting component sets and not using the new tweeters,
I got the mounts from ebay all four and the plugs for £20, halfords wanted £20 for a pair without the plugs!!
I was thinking about the dynamat but that means i will have to take each door card off?? but i guess the results would be far better if i did!
Just not enough hours in the day

If I could take the crap idea of a glove box under the front seat I would fit the slim sub!!
Dont want to put it in the boot as I dont think the dog would like it much
And its also very easy to lose the wires in the centre console!
To be fair I think I am to lazy

I dynamatted the adaptor ring at the base, so there is a layer of sound deadening between the speaker adaptor and the door card.

I also dynamatted the door card, round the speaker aperture, sounds a treat. didnt take the door card off

do you want punchy or deep bass?

if deep reconsider a sub.

either way you want good power with appropriate matches speakers. dont go chasing peak power figures.
