Big cloud of smoke on full boost

Hey guys, Ive not long had my mk2 leon cupra just over two months now.

Ive been told that when I'm in full boost my car blows out a big black cloud smoke as if it were diesel. I know that if it were my seals it would be burning oil lie crazy and it would also puff out blue smoke on idle which it doesn't do at all .

My turbo doesn't seem like its on its way out as Ive had it looked over by a mate who deals with VAG's. I haven't had my cat changed to a decay although I haven't ruled needing a new cat out just yet.

Would anyone be able to rule out any other possibilities if what it might be? Ill be honest I don't know much about the mechanical side of cars so perhaps I've missed something out?

Only recently, or been told only since having someone behind you recently? Reason I ask is that you may not have had someone you know behind you since you've bought it. Id suggest running rich due to map, general mappers make cars run a bit rich to be safe, some more than others. Depends how excessive it is or if its been doing it since it was mapped. Cant think of much that isn't going to be the map that wouldn't throw up a warning light on a newer car such as this. Could be spark plug gapping? Need new plugs if it hasn't followed regular servicing?

Black sooty smoke will be unburnt fuel, if it was oil it would be bluey/white smoke.
My Stage 3 Cosworth used to chuck quiet a bit out but mostly on overrun. If It was an extended session the smoke would ignite and chuck some huge flames out the exhaust

Nah, i thought it was at first. Mine was an F666 plate but the last three letters are different. When I first saw it on Youtube, i was all excited lol. Mines used to chuck flames out the back, and shite out of your arse when it wanted to go sideways at 70mph lol.

Apparently the black smokong has got worse. I think I might need my oil changed but could that be the only reason? The car is not mapped. Its standard that cat hasnt been changed either

I've seen loads of mk2 do this mate, especially on a rolling road. Like said above it's probably un burnt fuel from normal driving and when in boost it's slinging it out of the back

I know right? thats why Im a bit worried that something must be wrong. I asked another mate whos a Vauxhall LAD but his opinon was that it might be the cat getting hot but it does it EVERYTIME I floor it. Im putting a downpipe decat on the car monday im not looking forward as to how much more it black smokes and hoping for a map by Niki but I wanna get this issue sorted IF its an issue instead of going there and him sending me packing lol . Can faults come up on the VAGCOM without lights coming up on the dash ?

What is the mileage on it?? could be a gunged up inlet.. some of the crap coming loose.. Carry out an inlet clean, and a terraclean.

To be honest I am losing a fair bit of oil . it drinks more than my mates TFSi lumps and they thrash it far more than I do

Mileage as it stands is 72.5k
