My second car, also my second seat. After loosing my 4 week old license back in early 2014 (just turned 18, typical jack the lad), I had a lot of time to rethink on what car to have next and also to reconsider my approach to driving in general. I decided I would go for another Beeza! Somehow even though I lost my license, and made a claim on my insurance it was cheaper to insure a Black 1.4 Sport, than it was to insure what I previously had a Blue 1.2 Ibiza S.

The car anyway, as previously mentioned I have found myself with a Black 1.4 Seat Ibiza Formula Sport

Shes a massive upgrade from my previous Beeza, interior is pretty sick, got disc brakse front and rear, multifunctional steering wheel, fog lights, and correct me if I'm wrong it has the facelift front end and not sure about rear (can't confirm this myself?) and most of all it is a lot quicker! I've had to have a blackbox fitted for insurance sake so don't see a lot of the true potential but before I had the box fitted I gave her a little run down some a roads and she's really tight and fun!

Now my list of mods is abit crude and may not make sense as its a list I've been adding to since I had my first Seat, all I have done so far is add Team Heko Wind Deflectors as being an an apprentice doesn't help with funding my little 'project' so to speak.

EXTERIOR
Powder coat Wheels (Athracite or Matte Black)
Black Grille (I'm looking for something very particular with the grill, wanting a red outline on the seat logo, on a black background if anyone understands and can help?)
Black Bootlid (same detailing on this logo as above..?)
Tint Windows
Smoked Headlights (Looking to get Fly Eye Film)
Smoked Brakelights
Smoked Indicators
HID Kit (Advise on alternatives or HID laws?)
Extend Exhaust (Came without tip)
Paint Brake Callipers Red
LCR Splitter (maybe carbon wrap?)
Paint I B I Z A Red/Carbon (Or should I just de "badge?)
Carbon Wrap B Pillar
Stubby Ariel (Heard the S2000 or C2 fits, advise on best fit?)

INTERIOR
Colour Code Interior Panels
Double Din Touchscreen Car Stereo (Suggestions? Preferably with sat Mac, Bluetooth and cd/DVDs)
LED Interior Light (Heard the Passat is a straight fit?)
Red Footwell Led Strips (I know you'll call this chavy, but I have my reasons for this!)
Upgrade Tweeters
Upgrade Door Speakers (With all Audio, please advise on preferred speaker set ups etc..?)
Upgrade Rear Speakers
Replace Mats - Exact Swap
Audi TT Pedals

Really want everyone opinions mainly on my list, answer the question in brackets, what need to be added, what needs to be removed or what needs to be amended?

Pictures will follow once I've worked out how to add them.

Enjoy my thread and I hope you like my new car!:p

Welcome. The Mk4 forum has been getting quieter so it's nice to see people still enjoying their 6Ls. I still like my 1.4 sport although being 75ps it's not the quickest but it's easy to chuck about.

Your list doesn't mention handling mods although I suppose that's to keep the insurance down. Packing the voids in the upper and lower gearbox mount rubbers with Sikaflex or Tigerseal will make everything more tight and perky. Changing the wishbone rear bushes for either cupra or black polyurethane ones will look OEM but transform the steering accuracy and feedback. You can also get someone with VCDS to dial down the steering assistance for a more weighty feel. None of these ideas are very sexy but it's what I'd do for the most impact for least cash :)

Can't remember if the formula sport has the upper twin honeycomb grilles, but if not that's a pretty cheap mod that dramatically improves the look of the car. With the car being black you won't be so desperate to paint the side rubbing strips but they would still look pretty good in gloss black.

Cheers for the reply, I did think it was taking a while to get one! They all sound like some good mods that I haven't ever even considered so thanks a lot! Could you elaborate on the steerin adjustment about as I'm intrigued :p

Reason I haven't got any handlingmods on there are like you say, insurance purposes and money really. Once the black box is off I'll be more tempted to do something other than visual mods, but until then I want to get her looking stealthy/mean.

My formula sport came with the double honeycomb grille which I'm really chuffed about but the rear bumper doesn't look quite as 'sporty' as the front so I'll try and do something with that (also doesn't help that somebody mounted a tow bar on the rear and has bent my bumper towards the floor due to the pressure![:@] Also if your referring to the 2 strips on the rear of the car, mine doesn't have any? Any reason why? I'm not sure if I prefer the car with or without them

Another thought I've had with the 6Ls is that the arches need some sort of trim as they come standard with none, anyone agree or seen anyone that has added this as a mod?

Thanks again everyone!
