Wondering what you guys opinions are on the best polish & wax for black cars, I have historically used SRP & Collionite but have been told that SRP is not the best for black

Any ideas?

Ill be using Maguires. got swirl marks that i need to get rid of and lots of stone chips...

really tempted to get a gloss black wrap for the car! Just wash it with water and soap then!

Unless the stuff that you are buying has some kind of added colour in it then it really won't make any difference at all, a polish or wax that works well on a yellow car will work just as well on a black car.

If you are getting good results and are happy with what you're achieving stick with it.

SRP and colli is fine on black paint, its a sound combination for any colour. Poor boys blackhole is a great glaze for darker coloured cars aswell though if you do fancy trying something to replace srp

Only reason I could think for SRP not being good on black is if the stuff gets stuck in scratches and leaves them looking white? Otherwise it should work just as well as on any other colour. As jake44 said blackhole is good stuff, worth a shot, smells lovely too!

I had a black Corsa C for my first car and I used Dodo Juice Purple Haze which I found to be amazing. I loved using a lot of the Dodo Juice products.

SRP will be perfectly fine.
It's not so much the product, rather the amount you're applying & the buffing technique your using.

This is just SRP on black paint, using a DA polisher

Before.....swirlage

afters......

That's a massive improvement, worth the hard work!! Has it removed the swirls though or has it filled them??

I used a polishing pad, tether than a cutting pad & SRP does contain fillers.

I've used SRP with a cutting pad on my Leon and it's removed the swirls.

Meguires ultimate compound is a good product to use as well.

I also have poorboys black hole, which is also great.
