Has anyone changed the colour of there roof lining? I was looking at turning mine black to match the seats, has anyone taken there roof lining out? As I was looking at putting a VW T5 light for the rear

The cupra has a black headlining as standard so if your car is a three door it would probably be a straight swap.

Yeah I'm unfortunate in the fact I own a 3dr but I it would be interesting to see a 5dr with black roof lining maybe theres an add on for the fr or something

My FR has light roof lining.

I think the black is only available in the CUPRA/BOC

try black perminate fabric spray around £10 a can, easy cheap job.

My bro in law tried this with his Audi A2 many years ago. Ended up a mess as the fabric spray didn't work that well and he ended up covering it with new material that didn't stick that well.

So if you are desperate to make it black then I would recommend fitting a cupra or BOC one

i did mine, pain in the arse. you need the fabric obviously and then some carpet glue from b&q, hideously thick and strong. spray glue comes away eventually. a staple gun is a must too, ideally an electric one. did my sun visors too :)

I might keep the what ever colour the a,b,c post trims are and keep the visors the same, then change the roof black with maybe a red strip over the rise I'm the middle and fit a light in the back too, not sure how'd you get the roof lining out though, the boots to small to get it out and I wouldn't want to bend it through the doors, does anyone know the best way?

i took it out through the door, you will have to bend it a bit, but when covered you wont notice any bend marks as the fabric covers it.

If I remember correctly you can buy the headlining which is called 'carbon' direct from the dealers. You would still of course have to do the whole replacement job with glue etc. but it would at least be OEM and a good fit

My car's getting the headcloth retrimmed to black suede in the next couple of weeks, and also the white A , B and C pillars, will post pictures when it is done :), if all goes well that is .....
