considering the minimal gains you'd get from a proper remap on even a fairly heavily modified beeza i'd hazard a guess that it wont do much

All i know is it's about £20 and from doing a search on google and going through other forums it sounds worth the money. www.blitzchip.co.uk is the website but it doesn't seem to work properly. I think i found info on club GTi. I have e mailed the company but have no reply as of yet, but as soon as i recieve a reply i'll let you know.

i wouldnt bother personally... the cost of the chip is 20 quid, if the ecu packs in its a lot more expensive to repair it...

and taken from their site:
''The mappings are designed to be used with an open (Cone) type air filter, which will also help boost the Blitzchips performance (however this is not a mandatory requirement). Also the use of a premium octane fuel such as BP Ultimate , Tesco 99 or BP Optimax is recommended as the advanced timing will take advantage of the increase octane levels so providing additional perfomance gains over using the fuel on its own.''

youd at least make sure the facts were right
ie: bp optimax :(

my personal opinion

EDIT: Fitting instructions if you cant actually see the site:
http://www.blitzchip.co.uk/docs/Blitzchipvwmk3.pdf

At least its not just a resistor which my initial thoughts were

Yeah it's not those resistor things it's a proper chip which is why i was looking into it. If you go to clubgti then do a search on blitzchip the majority of people seem to reccommend it. I'll wait for a reply from the company and see what they say.

yep, had one fitted to my old MK3 Golf 2.0 16v

for the money it was, its not one of those "chips" that is a waste of money, it did make a genuine improvement and improved throttle repsonse to the car, so I would recommend it

never had any issues when it was fitted, for approx 6 months as well

I have a feeling this company has ceased trading i realised yesterday that if you go to contacts some of the information is blanked out with x's, so i assume this means the company is no more.

not sure if it was ever a company, as I bought the chip from a guy who independantly mapped them
