blue wire from aerial

i recently changed my head unit and the aerial adapter had a blue wire coming off it, just wanted to know what this is for i was gonna bullet crimp it to the antenna cable coming from the new unit mainly because they are the same colour

It's the power for the aerial booster mate, and needs to go to a switched or ignition live, or you won't get hardly any reception.

i did think the reception was a bit poor haha, what about the antenna cable from the haed uinit?? its a blue one as well labelled as antenna. i might just get a tester on it lol

Try it, if its like my Alpine it will work.
