When im talking to people with the inbuilt bluetooth, they always say i sound quiet and difficult to understand and because of this i have to shout.

Does anyone els have the same problem?
If i go to the dealer and have a moan, will they fix it?

I find that at town speeds 30/40 mph its fine but at motorway speeds 70 mph plus then yes the same I either shout or drive a bit slower one problem though is driving through town and using the bluetooth it looks to others like you are talking to yourself:)

I had this problem - seemed as if the mic was not sensitive enough.
I asked the dealer to look at it, but they said it was fine. :banghead2
I investigated myself by removing the interior light cluster and found that the mic was installed incorrectly. It was in the holder sideways, so the mic was pointing at the side of the light cluster rather than the hole into the cabin !

I reseated the mic the correct way around and now it works perfectly :D

Maybe you have the same problem ?

Peaky, can I ask how you got the interior light cluster off - did it involve much force?

I spent ages trying to work out how to get the thing out, with gentle pulling and prising, but eventaully worked it out......

To remove the light cluster you need to prise off the plastic lens using a sharp tool (I used a knife) but be careful !
When the lens is off, you can see a few clips around the insides of the plastic module that you can unclip with a screwdriver.
I can't remember exactly where the fixings were located, but when the lens was off it was easy to see them.

I hope this helps...

was in at the stealers today asking where my car is (another story) and while i was there i got him to demonstrate the bluetooth for me on a showroom car.
one of the points he made was that if you increase the volume on the steering wheel, it not only increases the volume inside the cabin, but also increases the volume of your voice to who ever you are talking to.
give it a try.

well i was curious to see how the mics where used and i pulled off the little thing where they are it doesnt involve too much force and i did it with my fingers and i liked the way seat did this 3 mics pointing drivers side middle side and passenger side everyone says it sounds like if i was talking with the mobile

i will have to take the light off and have a look then. In the mean time i will shout lol

I'm starting to think there may be different types of mic setups out there, because there was no way to remove just the mic on mine, and I'm sure there was only a single mic in there.
