Hi all - not posted for a while, but I'm looking at new cars again now, and I saw a new Leon at the dealer with a nice bodykit on it. This looks like a BTCC replica I think. Is this available via dealer and if so, how much? Is it available after-market or only when car ordered. Any info appreciated, as I liked the look of it, and am considering an FR over the new Cupra, as I cant see the extra £2.5K value, and disappointingly the new Cupra doesn't seem to have any distinguishing bodykit anyway - only very minor mods.

2.5k for an extra 40bhp - nicer wheels brakes interior etc i thought was quite reasonable. I think that the Aero kit is quite a costly option and all you're getting there is a different look

The special edition is a 2.0 TDI Reference Sport priced at £15995 + metallic. The kit is available as an afterfit at I think £750 for the kit plus painting and fitting. Wheels and tyres are roughly £1K IIRC

Remember the Brembos will still be a cost option on the Cupra and the wheels are a matter of choice - The interior doesn't look much different apart from colour, and Revo will give you more than the extra 40 BHP for £500. I was really hoping the Cupra would look much more 'special' for all that extra cash.

Last thing I heard they are going to be an option. Got to agree with you though, I think the car is a disappointment, as did most of the people who looked at the car at Excel.

hi lozza,
just joined this forum as you'll see due to becoming a Leon owner on Friday. I bought one of those Leon Reference Sports you ask about. I spoke to the dealer about the BTCC kit and he said it is available as a retro fit, but the wheels are a tad expensive too apparently, as a previous reply states. He also said that there will only be 300 in the UK with the kit, rear spoiler and wheels fitted as standard. They will be distributed to chosen dealers throughout the UK.

Very happy with car and I've had a lot of admiring looks. Good to be a member of the Seat family now!

We have got a kit on one of our demo cars, and we have fitted 3 customer cars with it. We charge around £3K, fitted, painted including wheels tyres and twin exhaust.
