It's not advised to keep them on for more than a week or two at a time Danny
Few reasons off the top of my head:
1) If water gets inside it and settles it can start corroding the paint (and it goes all over your engine/electricals when opening the bonnet)
2) If dirt gets inside it then the movement of the bra can grind the dirt against your paint and cause excessive swirl marks and fine scratches
3) In extreme conditions you may find the paint underneath goes a different colour to what's left exposed

i supose that doesnt matter i have a onvi yellow cupra
I mean i clean my car once a week...I could take it off and clean it as a weekly/fortnighly chore?

I used to hate them but the leather looking ones look really good on a cupra, I'm just not sure it's worth the endless questions and pisstakinhg
Also robbieC what bulbs are you using? They look much better than the yellow standards!

The questions do get annoying after a while but meh, I didn't do it to suit anyone else's taste but my own.
I'm using Osram Diadems for the indicator bulbs and cheap ebay specials for the dipped beams which have blue tinted lenses. They give out an impressive amount of light for standard bulbs but I may upgrade to HIDs soon.
I originally bought the Philips ones but they didn't perform very well and one bulb went after just 5 months. I'd never use them again, absolute rip off.

Hasn't lost any value since i've had it either... gained alot!
as for the bra, just take it off if its raining, washing it, if the cars dirty etc. I usually keep mine so clean that it doesnt matter, keep keep the polish and wax routine on the bonnet frequent if the car gets driven alot

I can see the benefit of these and im in two minds about these. I have a yellow MK4 so think the black and yellow would be a bit much, looks better on darker coloured cars as not so in your face i think

TBH, I think they look better on any car other than black. Although, I have seen some black cars that look ok with em on.
Depends on set up IMO. For example, I think it looks ok on my silver car because of the black wheels, so it has something to co-ordinate with.

Disagree... looks awsome on black, how can it not?! It's all about stealth. I'll try and get a pic later unless someone beats me to it.
