Boot Handle/Badge not springing back

My boot handle/SEAT badge has started to get stuck in the opening position

Once the boot handle is pulled up and the boot is opened, it should the spring back to flush against the boot lid

Any ideas?

This is a common issue on the Leon.

Mine did the same thing, I had mine replaced under warranty.

If yours is within the warranty ask the dealer to change it for you.

Mine did this too a good sort with wd40 or the like may flush out any dirt or if that doesn't work a new handle under warranty may be the answer.

Mine does this also. Throws up an error fault too (I think it’s caused by this). Does your boot light stay off too when this happens?

I have the exact same fault too with carista I have used loads of dw40 too.

Did you contact the dealership? Did they any light or just say they would book it in and look at it?
