Boot Leak

For a while I notice the boot mat gets damp and mouldy, and a few times I have taken it out and dried it, and all has been fine...but it got worse...

A few months back there was a weird rust type stain on the rear seats, just left it, then early this week the back seats were soaking! Took them out, and i am drying them off.
I thought the boot door seal was bad, so i resealed it on.

This morning, after a heck of rain last night, there was a load of water on the back seat well, I have taken the boot apart and found the source.

The metal crease near the top of the boot is dripping water in...a lot on both sides!

Now, i can't see anything externally that could be where the water is coming from, my only guess would be from somewhere on the roof corer by the rear of the car...

Any pointers for this, what I could do next?

I know I need to stop the leak at the course and not where it's dripping in, also I can pour water on certain areas of the car to see where it's coming in, but its still pouring, so not going to help atm.

You sure it isn't the rear washer hose popped off and leaking through there? Common problem

That has happened to me before in the winter, but unfortunately it's not the case here, as it was dry last night, and during rain in the night it's now leaking, and its leaking both sides

Been looking more and i would guess the join on the roof is damaged?

You haven't got my old car have you? We had dropped sell it as seat looked at it and said it looks like it's been in a accident. Needed a big repair they said.

I have this issue too, ive narrowed it down to by the rear light on the quarter panel but swapped the light off my other Ibiza which didn't leak and it still leaks!

in the first time i thought it was the light too, sealed and no effect, its from the top, remove the c pillars and see if yours leak in the same place.
