Brake caliper paint??

Im looking to re-paint my Brembos on my lcr.

I just wondered what paint could i use and also that they would be on the car still as don't want to remove them and have to re-bleed them just for the sake of a lick of paint, so possibly brushed on paint would be better

I see alot of people use Hammerite Smooth or Foliatec but just wondered if there are any better ones for hi temp use

I used normal spray paint. It's been fine for 10 months.

Ive used Motip spray cans (high temp use), but I have seen that Hammerite is better (thicker). Still happy with my paint job though

halfords do a paint on calliper paint in red plus other colours,used it on my brembos gives a good finish after a couple of coats

A lot of people go for Smooth Red Hammerite spray paint, in Halfords for like 15 blips

I used the seat flash red spay paint came out very nice. Yet to bubble/flake.

Bought some hammerite red smooth yesterday for £5.99 and brembo stickers for £2 yesterday so hopefully will be a job for bank holiday weekend

I used the Halfords red brake calliper paint on mine last summer. It's a bit of a pain to work but I'm very happy with it.

I used halfords red caliper spray on my calipers which worked really well.

I got a tin of hammerite "direct to rust" spray paint, it was terrible, really thin and didn't stick, maybe it was something I wasnt doing right? Got a tin of normal hammerite red, havent got round to painting yet lol.

A layer of lacquer on top gives u extra protection especially if your using new stickers.

Its only gonna be temporary until winter/early next year when i strip them off and powdercoat and rebuild them.

Where did you get the brembo stickers mate? I'm away from home at the moment and i'd like to get some more as i painted my calipers before i left but didn't measure how big they were lol.

80mm ones mate and they off eBay. 6 for £1.99 delivered mate.

Just type in 80mm brembo and should come up near top of list somewhere
