So I've had a bit of a problem with my rear o/s brakes, and on disassembly today, I found the piston sticking out of the caliper more than I would like, but on closer inspection, it seems the external boot has popped off and left the sides of the piston exposed to the general filth we have on our roads here in the UK.

I've tried googling for new pistons and service kits, but I'm not finding much helpful information.

Is anyone aware of any easily available in the UK please? The quicker I can get my hands on them the better too, since my car is now in bits on my driveway, and I need it for getting to work during the week.

Bigg red. Used them loads & supplied parts for calipers where rebuild kits didn’t exist (after sending photos & measurements). They’ve also been on car sos & wheeler dealers etc. Might be cheaper options but doubt many are as helpful

Might be easier getting a second hand caliper off ebay.
Rear calipers can be a pain to rebuild due to the handbrake mechanism.

Strange problem - I can't see how the piston can stick out too far as the pads would stop this? Even if the pads were down to the back plate the piston shouldn't stick out too far?
