Brake noise....

Ok i know very little about these things, but over the last week have noticed a noise (slight sqeak) when i brake, but only just as i come to a stop.... whats the best way to sort it out and stop it returning.....?

I must have been editing when you replied!!!! Its just a little squeak.... nothing that sounds bad or anything, something probably just needs a clean but wouldnt know where to start!!!!

My rear brakes or break has squeaked petty much from new I think. Never done anything about it.

i too have the same problem! i guess its another "feature" of owning a Seat car

My guess is that's it's down to the pad material and the light corrosion layer on the discs first thing. Once they've warmed through the squeaking/grating stops.

Well at least i'm not alone.....

Yeah i must admit i have only noticed it in the damp weather and like you say it isnt all the time.....

Maybe it's a good excuse to warm the brakes up in the future.....well that's what they told me on SCN officer, honest!
